​Hyderabad: A round-table conference attended by editors and senior journalists here on Tuesday appealed to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to immediately solve the problem of house-sites for journalists. They said that it was not proper for the Chief Minister to delay the solution. The meeting resolved to call on the Chief Minister shortly and decided that journalists from across the State should send postcards with appeals to K Chandrashekar Rao.

Organised by Journalists' Housing Coordination Committee, the conference was attended by senior journalists S Nagesh Kumar, Bandaru Srinivas Rao, Sadasiva Sarma, Koneti Rangayya, S Kondayya, Govind Reddy, and N Venugopal Rao. The journos stated that the journalists from across the State were agitated over the house-site issue while suggesting that K Chandrashekar Rao should view it sympathetically.

Although the issue was pending in the Supreme Court, efforts should be made for finding a solution without hampering the legal aspects, the speakers stressed. The speakers called for united efforts by senior journalists, editors and journalists' organisations to bring pressure on the government to solve the problem.
