The Sircilla municipal administration bagged the prestigious SKOCH award for innovative practices in bringing municipal services closer to citizens. SKOCH Smart Governance award is an initiative recognising top performing government departments and organisations working with the government, operating at national, State and local level for the best practices and models of governance and excellence in implementation of programmes and service delivery.
SKOCH awards are the highest independently instituted civilian honours in India since 2003 and are awarded for the best practices in India in the fields of governance, finance, banking, technology, corporate citizenship, economics and inclusive growth.
