Karimnagar: It is everyone’s responsibility to maintain sustainable cleanliness along with keeping the surroundings neat, said the District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed. He released pamphlets, designed by Swachh Bharath department officials, here at the collector’s chamber on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said as part of several programmes being taken up for keeping the district clean and neat, Swachh Bharath department has designed pamphlets after declaring Karimnagar as open defecation free (ODF) district.

The pamphlets explain in detail about the usage of individual sanitary latrines (ISLs), maintenance of wet and dry waste, digging soaking pits, personal cleanliness and keeping surroundings clean. Sarfaraz Ahmed stated that everyone must go through this pamphlet as it is very helpful for maintaining villages and mandals, towns and cities clean and hygienic.

District and rural development officer Venkateshwara Rao, UNICEF co-ordinator Kishan Swamy, Swachh Bharat Mission coordinators Ramesh and Venu Prasad were present along with others.
