Hyderabad : Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation visited India’s largest startup incubator T-Hub. The visiting delegation was escorted by Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao.

The Minister from UAE appreciated the innovations being done at T-Hub incubator. In an hour-long tour of T-Hub, Minister KT Rama Rao explained about opportunities of collaborating through the T-Hub with priority programmes of UAE and Telangana.

The UAE Minister extended an invitation to Minister KT Rama Rao to visit and explore business opportunities in UAE to which the latter responded positively.

Minister KT Rama Rao proposed to create a Market access program for UAE-based startups with a product or a solution relevant for the Indian market. He said Tech startups in the education space could be identified who can come up with innovative solutions for improving learning outcomes of the diverse range of students in UAE schools.

KTR also offered to jointly explore opportunities for finding innovative solutions for common priorities in the areas of renewables, water, and other natural resources.

Highlighting the blockchain domain, the Minister said, “Like the UAE government, Government of Telangana is also focused on the blockchain, and is keen to find best use cases to apply blockchain solutions in various domains of governance. Incidentally, we are hosting a major international blockchain Congress in Hyderabad in the first week of August. We have a strong ambition to become the national leader in this domain in India, And we would be very keen to collaborate with UAE who’s focus and priorities on blockchain are well recognized and respected.”

Minister KTR said that Telangana government continues to look for potential investments from UAE-based companies.

Outlining the Telangana government’s industrial policy, Rama Rao said, “Telangana has the most progressive industrial development and investment policy in the country, and we are rated number one in the ease of doing business. We have already received investment proposals from three leading UAE-based companies, and we are sure that we can become an ideal destination for any UAE investors who wish to set up his manufacturing unit in India.”
