##BIG-IMAGE#Wanaparthy: The Automobile Vehicle Inspectors (AMVI) from Road Transport department conducted a ‘Sadak Suraksha’ awareness programme among the vehicle owners in Pebbair mandal of Wanaparthy district on Tuesday.

As part of this programme, a team of AMV inspectors and police personnel from Pebbair stopped the vehicles on the roads and checked them if they are following the road safety norms. “As per the directions from the higher-ups in the department, we have embarked on conducting the road safety programme among the motorists,” informed A. Sathish, an AMVI from Pebbair RTO office.

“Majority of the vehicles are not following the road safety norms. In view of this we have stopped the vehicles and spread awareness among the drivers about the norms to be followed to ensure safety. Most of the vehicles are not having red radium stickers which will help in detecting moving vehicle during nights,” he added.

Spreading the road safety awareness among the drivers, the team of RTO officials also advised the drivers of autos, tractors, trolleys and other vehicles to ensure sticking of red and orange colour radium stickers and see that they are safe without causing any accidents while driving on the roads.
