Woman stages sit-in at lover’s house

Valigonda (Yadari-Bhongir): A woman, identified as Jyothi, approached the police in Bhongir, alleging that her boyfriend had betrayed her. She staged a protest in front of the house of her boyfriend Bhaskar in Valigonda on Tuesday.
The woman told the police that Ravula Bhaskar had promised to marry her. But he ditched her. She approached Bhongir DSP office on the direction of Gacchibowli police of Hyderabad. Local police gave a counseling to Bhaskar and his family members. Family members assured the police that they would settle the matter but they advised the woman to take some money and leave their son alone.
Shocked by the development, the woman again approached the Bhongir DSP for justice. The police registered FIR April 12 and arrested Bhaskar. He was released on bail on last Thursday. The woman on Tuesday staged a sit-in front of house of Bhaskar and threatened to kill herself if he failed to marry her.
