Hyderabad: It seems the students who have participated in the first and second round of All India Counseling of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET)-2018 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, need not worry much.
ALL INDIA CATEGORY NEET COUNSELLING OF KNRUHS, NTRUHS
According to sources in the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal, and NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, the development taking place following the direction of the Tamil Nadu State High Court to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would not affect the students taking admission in different colleges under these two universities.
In turn, this had triggered the fears that the adding up nearly 196 marks for each of the students who had taken the examination in Tamil medium might force the CBSE to revise its earlier notification of the All India rankers list. This would have resulted in adversely affecting those who had already participated in the first and second round of the counselling and the allotments are expected to be out in the next two or three days.
However, clarifying on this, KNRUHS Vice-Chancellor, B Karunakar Reddy said that the first and second round of counselling of the All India category has been completed and the results will be out soon notifying the allocation of seats. There would not be any problem unless the university receives any communication to cancel the counselling process for the All India rankers. Adding, the VC said, "So far, the university has not received any communication. Besides, there are no candidates from Tamil Nadu, who had participated in the two rounds of the counselling held under the All India category. Hence, it is unlikely that the Tamil Nadu HC verdict would in any way affect the counselling results of the KNRUHS.
Similarly, a senior official from the NTRUHS said that the number of students who had participated in the counselling held under the All India category to take admission in different medical colleges under the university were mostly from Telangana and not from the other states. “Unless the Centre cancels the counselling which was held for the All India category, there would not be any problem for the students," he added.
