Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday instructed the Agricultural department that the Rythu Bandhu Life Insurance Scheme be made applicable to all eligible farmers, without any discrimination whether rich or poor, between the age group of 18 to 60.

Reviewing the progress in the enrollment of the beneficiaries under the insurance scheme with the officials at Pragathi Bhavan, the chief minister asked the officials to continue the enrollment process until every farmer is covered under the scheme. He wanted the farmer should be educated in such a way that he or she submits the nominee forms as early as possible.

On submission of details of the farmers who have already been provided the nominees name, the government will release and pay the first installment of Insurance premium pertaining to them to the LIC. KCR also said that errors if any found in the Pattadar pass books are to be corrected as well as change of names for mutation wherever applicable will be taken up and completed on war footing.

Some farmers have not yet received the pass books and in some pass books few errors are to be corrected. Mutations are also pending in some cases. Instructions have already been issued to complete all these expeditiously, he added.
