Kodad (Suryapet): Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy here on Tuesday described Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as a visionary. The Chief Minister’s planning helped the State become the State power surplus within a short span.
The Minister was inaugurating sub-station at Shanthinagar here. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy said power cuts in this region had become one of the major issues during the Telangana agitation and also at the time of the State formation. The achievements of the government in making the State power surplus attraction global attention, he said.
He said low voltage issue in and around Shanthinagar would be addressed permanently with the newly- established sub-station
Officials said as many as 3,250 domestic consumers, 2,500 farmers and 120 industrialists would get power from Shanthinagar sub-station.
