Kodangal: With little rains during the past one week, all the roads connecting Balampet to Gundepally village in Doulatabad mandal of Kodangal constituency have turned muddy and the commuters of these areas are facing hell like situation as they are unable to traverse through the water logged, muddy roads.

Particularly, the school students are facing tough time as they have to spend more than one hour to travel just 1.5 kilometres to reach their school from their villages. Even though Transport Minister P. Mahender Reddy had visited recently these villages and sanctioned a BT road, it is just confined to laying of foundation stone.

Even after more than 3 months since the laying of the foundation stone for laying of the road, progress has been made to lay the BT road in these villages. Because of this, the villagers and particularly the school children are facing tough time to reach their school through the muddy roads.

“Every day we are literally trekking to reach to our school. Because of pathetic road conditions we are reaching late to the school. Therefore, officials should look into the issue and immediately take steps to construct new BT road to our village,” said the agitating school children.
