New Delhi: Teenage Mountaineering sensation Amgoth Tukaram, a native of Thakkallapally Thanda in Rangareddy district, called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Parliament House here on Wednesday.

The President congratulated the mountaineer who scaled the Mount Kilimanjaro and installed an 18-feet Indian tricolour for scaling the mountain against all odds.

Ram Nath Kovind appreciated the social consciousness displayed by the youngster who sent out a message appealing to people to wear helmets.

The President blessed him and wished for him to scale many more heights that will bring laurels to the country. Tukaram was the recipient of the district level Best Sportsman Award. The was bestowed upon him on the occasion of State Formation Day.

He expressed gratitude towards the State Government Special Representative here Ramachandru and TS REDCO MD Sudhakar Rao for facilitating his meeting with the President.
