Khammam: Deputy Commissioner of Police K Suresh Kumar here on Tuesday exhorted the police to use technology to the fullest extent. The DCP was speaking at a training camp conducted to teach sub-inspectors and police station writers the technique of crime mapping and uploading of details of crime into web server.

Attending as a chief guest at the training camp, Suresh Kumar advised the police personnel to gain knowledge of technology as it would help keep a check on crime. It is essential for police personnel to get a good grip on police applications introduced by the State Police Department for bringing down the crime rate.

All the details right from registering first information report (FIR) to filing charge-sheet should be uploaded into web server, he said. Khammam Town Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkatrao, CCRB ACP Ramanujam, Circle Inspectors Venkanna Babu, Nagendra Chary, Suresh and IT Core Team in-charge Sathyanarayana were present at the programme.
