Khammam: Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal here on Monday advised people to approach courts for redressal of land and property disputes. He was participating in the Praja Divas programme organised at Police Commissionerate here.
Speaking on the occasion, Tafseer Iqbal advised the people to lodge a complaint first in nearby police stations and if their grievances was addressed, then the complaints may approach higher officials, he said.
The Police Commissioner assured the complainants that the police cannot interfere in civil disputes. The High Court has directed the police not to interfere in civil disputes. A good number of people attended the Praja Divas and narrated their problems to the police.
