TRS netas tear into TPCC chief over KTR jibe

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders, including MPs, MLAs and MLCs, on Monday tore into Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy for his comments against the Minister for Information Technology K T Rama Rao.
The TRS leaders said the allegation made on the Facebook live by the Congress leader was fake and demanded that the leaders give proof of allegation of corruption. At separate press conferences, the TRS leaders lashed out at the TPCC chief for his remarks against Rama Rao.
Addressing a media conference along with MLAs K Prabhakar Reddy, D Manohar Reddy, MLC Shambhipur Raju, Peddapally MP B Suman condemned the corruption allegations made against the Minister. Suman said because of the efforts of Rama Rao, the Telangana state was getting worldwide recognition.
“Can the Congress leaders show a single proof of the corruption? They made AICC President Rahul Gandhi speak lies during his two-day visit to the State and the Minister had only clarified situation. What all Uttam Kumar Reddy said was false... these leaders have tried to stall the development process during the last four years,” said Suman. He recalled that Rs 3 crore were found in the car of the TPCC chief. He took exception to the comments of TPCC chief that Rama Rao was a kid (bachha).
The TRS leader said that while Rama Rao and other party leaders had to go to courts because of cases booked against them during Telangana agitation. Rahul Gandhi and other leaders were facing the courts because of their involvement corruption. These leaders have even made the officials too go to jail, he alleged.
Prabhakar Reddy said that the allegations on Facebook live by the TPCC chief was ‘fake.’ He said that the Congress leaders were unable to see the development works in the state and suggested that they visit the ‘Kanti Velugu’ camps to get their eyes tested. He demanded that the TPCC chief stop using the words joker, broker etc. MLA Manohar Reddy said that the language used by Uttam Kumar Reddy was not justifiable.
In another press conference, MLC Ramulu Naik said, “KTR may be a bachha as per his age but he is ‘achha’ (good) as Minister. The Congress national president Rahul Gandhi is a bachha and his acts in Parliament like hugging and winking are proofs that he is a child,” said Naik. He said that Rama Rao had resigned a highly paid job in America to take part in Telangana agitation.
The Congress leaders are talking irresponsibly by sitting in Gandhi Bhavan. The TRS government is spending Rs 45,000 crore on welfare and the State was number one in the country, he said. MLA G Kishore said that the TPCC chief is using the Facebook platform because he was unable to face the people directly. The TPCC chief first should study the 2009 manifesto of Congress before commenting on TRS manifesto, he said. He said that the Congress would not get even the status of opposition party in the next elections.
