Kothagudem: CITU Singareni unit will organise a relay hunger strike at the SCCL corporate office here on September 21 to pressurise the management to solve the problems of contract workers.
The union workers and leaders held a meeting at the party office here on Thursday. Addressing the gathering, CITU ( Singareni) leader Y Krishnaiah criticised that the SCCL management is not all interested in solving the issues of contract workers.
Despite many protests conducted by them at the corporate office earlier, their problems remained unsolved. “Hence, we decided to launch a relay hunger strike on September 21,” he announced.
Krishnaiah appealed all the contract workers to participate in the relay hunger strike to make it a big success. After the meeting, the leaders submitted a memorandum to Manger Srinivas.
