Mallepally: ‘Telangana Sevak’ society poster release programme was held in Prime function hall at Mallepally on Tuesday. A group of concerned citizens formed a society ‘Telangana Sevak’, to carry on social services in the Telangana State. To begin its activities the society will collect surplus food from Function Halls, Hotels and restaurants and pack it and distribute the same to the poor and destitute persons.
The society will later take up other works such as organising medical and health check up, distributing of spectacles and medicines etc. The society is planning to purchase Microwave ovens and fridges to preserve surplus food, contribution were also done by public in the programme. Mohammed Farooq Hussain, MLC also promised to give Rs 5 lakh fund from minority to society, said Mohammed Fayazuddin, founder and general secretary.
Hussain and president of the society and Mir Inayath Ali Bauqri, chairman SETWIN released the poster and gave a membership card to the members of society, in which several dignitaries attended the programme.
