Bhupalpally: Ahead of Assembly elections, the police department is fully prepared, DGP M Mahender Reddy said. The DGP who is on a flash visit to the district on Monday reviewed the preparedness of the police in view of ensuing Assembly polls.
Speaking to media persons, the DGP said that he was satisfied with the Bhupalpally police’s preparedness. “Impetus is on using the facial recognition system (FRS). The FRS software linked to TSCOP mobile phone app allows field-level police personnel to check a suspect’s face with the database,” he said.
Stating that Bhupalpally police are well and truly in control of law and order situation in the region, he expressed hope that elections would pass off peacefully without any untoward incident. He said that district police will take measures to provide full security to those leaders involve in election campaign.
North Zone IG Nagi Reddy, Intelligence IG Naveen Chand, Intelligence DIG Prabhakar Rao, Karimnagar Range DIG Pramod Kumar, Ramagundam Commissioner Satyanarayana, Bhupalpally Superintendent of Police R Bhaskaran, Asifabad SP Malla Reddy and Mahabubabad SP Koti Reddy were among others present.
