Tarnaka: Dr P Srihari, a Principal Scientist at Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) here has been honoured with the prestigious ‘CDRI Award-2018’ by the Central Drug Research Institute (CRDI), Lucknow, for his work in research on drugs in Chemical Sciences stream. The work included developing concise approaches to bio-active natural products, and synthesising of new chemical entities for pharmacological activities.

The award comprises a memento, a citation and a cash prize of Rs.20, 000. It was presented by Prof M R Satyanarayana Rao, the former President of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore, who was the chief guest at the 76th CSIR Foundation day celebrations at CSIR-CDRI. Prof Tapas K Kundu, the Director of CDRI, was present.
