Mahbubnagar: Senior Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of ignoring and deceiving people of Mahbubnagar.
Addressing a road show in Jadcherla, Bhatti said when Palamuru people saved the Telangana movement by making KCR a Mahbubnagar MP, he is ever indebted to the people of district. However, after becoming the chief minister of Telangana, he ignored them.
“What has KCR done to the migrating labourers of Palamuru during his four year’s rule? Nothing. KCR has totally ignored the district and showed stepmotherly treatment in taking up major and minor irrigation projects in the district,” said Bhatti, TPCC Canvassing Committee chairman.
Along with Bhatti, star campaigner Vijayashanti, Gadwal MLA DK Aruna and Mallu Ravi took part in the road shows in Mahbubnagar and Jadcherla.
Mallu Bhatti claimed that the people of Mahbubnagar had benefited only during the Congress regime, as it was the Congress party which had laid foundations and build the existing projects of Jurala, Nettampad, and Kalwakurthy to meet the irrigation requirements of the Palamuru farmers. And it is because of only the Congress government’s deeds today the farmers are reaping the fruits of irrigation water in the district.
Adding further, Bhatti said that the recently launched Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Project was also conceptualised during the Congress regime with an estimated cost of Rs 16,000 crore.
“What KCR has done to Palamuru is nothing but claiming the achievements of Congress as his own and fooling the people. In fact, KCR had kept aside all the ongoing projects and indulged in redesigning of the projects to increasing their estimated costs for commissions and kickbacks,” added Bhatti.
In her speech, Congress star campaigner Vijayashanti said during 4 years of TRS rule about 4,000 famers committed suicide and to cover up this, KCR has launched the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema schemes.
DK Aruna termed KCR as a liar and a street rowdy and said KCR fooled not only the Congress party but also deceived the people of Telangana with his false promises. Now it is the turn of the people to fool KCR and his party leaders and vote for Congress, said Aruna.
