Prisons Dept green drive yields results

Chanchalguda: The State Prisons Department has set a milestone in all fields in Telangana State.

It has not only outperformed all jails in the country in its core functioning but also in other fields like environment protection, Haritha Haram, rain harvesting pits, digging of Cheruvu in all jails and increasing the water table.

Earlier, there used to be water scarcity in jails as all bore wells had dried up.

Cattle were not getting adequate water and fodder. Now all bore wells are charged up and the jails are looking like picnic spots.
