First-ever orderly graveyard in Hyd
In order to resolve the problem of graveyards in some parts of the Old City, a 50acre land was allotted under Dargah Faqeer Mullah, Balapur About 5 km from Midhani, the firstever orderly graveyard is already underway with 200 grave blocks to ensure hitchfree burial of the deceased

A waiting hall, a mosque and ghusul khana (bathroom for full-body ritual purification, which is mandatory before burial), will be constructed in the coming days
Chandrayangutta: In order to resolve the problem of graveyards in some parts of the Old City, a 50-acre land was allotted under Dargah Faqeer Mullah, Balapur. About 5 km from Midhani, the first-ever ‘orderly’ graveyard is already underway with 200 grave blocks to ensure hitch-free burial of the deceased.
Finding a place for burial has become a difficult task than finding a home in city these days. The existing graveyards across the city have been shrinking over a period.
As per some estimates almost 40 per cent of the land meant for graveyards has been grabbed. The biggest problem in the city has been to find a last resting place.
To resolve the problem in parts of the Old City, it was decided that a 50-acre of Wakf land to be allotted under Dargah Faqeer Mullah, Shareef Nagar, Wadi e Sama in Balapur.
Recently, over 170-masjid committee members under Chandrayangutta constituency visited the graveyard and undertook the works, like construction of boundary wall, ground clearance and construction of blocks, with a sanctioned amount of Rs 50 lakhs.
“To resolve the problem faced by the residents of Chandrayangutta constituency, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi brought up the issue in the assembly, and the government has accepted to allot 50 acres of wakf land,” said Mirza Saleem Baig, a local corporator.
The corporator explained that the entire 50 acres of graveyard would be organised systematically with grave blocks. For people to move easily between the graves, required space will also provided, as stepping on the graves is not allowed.
“200 graves with blocks were constructed with an amount of Rs 1 lakh. The rest of the funds will be used to construct a mosque,” he added.
A waiting hall, a mosque and ghusul khana (bathroom for full-body ritual purification, which is mandatory before burial), will be constructed in the coming days.
A free transportation facility to carry deceased to graveyard within a radius of 10 km will also be arranged.
