Karimnagar: The former MP Ponnam Prabhakar here on Sunday said the Congress party will do justice to the unemployed youth after coming to the power in forthcoming elections.

As many as 500 youth joined the Congress party in the presence of Prabhakar under the leadership of district Youth Congress Secretary Naveen Goud at a private function hall here.

Speaking on the occasion, Prabhakar said the TRS government came to power by making false promises to the people. He said the TRS promises of providing three acres of land to the Dalits, distribution of double bedroom houses, employment opportunities to one member in each family were not fulfilled.

After coming to power, the Congress government will distribute six gas cylinders and six kgs of fine rice to the white ration cardholders, waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh and construct Indiramma houses to shelterless poor people along with sanctioning of Rs10 lakh to Self-help Groups without interest and Rs 3,000 of pension to the unemployed youth, disabled persons and Rs 2,000 of pension to senior citizens along with providing employment opportunities.

It is the Sonia Gandhi and Congress party which had given separate Statehood for Telangana. He appealed to the people to voter of the Congress party which granted statehood to Telangana.

Congress leaders Patel Sudheer Reddy, B Srinivas, P Anup Goud, Sohail, Anil Rao, Zameel, Vinay, Arun Singh, Sharath Reddy, Satish, M Srikanth Yadav, Sandeep and Arjun Reddy were present along with others.
