Hyderabad: Caretaker Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Monday alleged that Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) chief Prof M Kodandaram has become a slave of Delhi and Amaravati for the sake of few seats.

Addressing a gathering of leaders, who joined TRS, led by TJS Sangareddy district president Nagesh at Telangana Bhavan, Harish Rao asked the TJS chief to recall the JAC (Joint Action Committee) days and see the newspapers of those days. “When Kodandaram was targeted by the Congress and the TDP leaders, TRS stood behind him.

Those who abused Kodandaram have become good for the TJS chief and the TRS has become bad for him. Kodandaram has become close to the leaders who have conspired to break JAC. Only the TRS had been a security cover for Kodandaram,” Harish Rao said. Harish Rao alleged that Kodandaram had indirectly helped the Congress party and now he is directly going with that party.

He predicted that the TJS would become empty now. “Kodandaram should answer to the Telangana society for having a tie up with the Telugu Desam Party. True colours of Kodandaram have come out... for few seats he has become a slave to Delhi and Amaravati,” alleged Rao.

The Congress party has given those tickets to TJS, which it cannot win, he added. He said that the TRS would expose the TJS chief. He recalled that while the Congress leaders jailed the Telangana agitators, the TRS helped them with bail and the people who have jailed have become friends of Kodandaram. The TRS leader said that his party would come into power with over 100 seats.
