Karanam Prahlada Rao resigns as BJP district chief

Parigi: Vikarabad district BJP president Karanam Prahlada Rao said he would not leave the party though he was not given ticket for coming election. He spoke to the media at party office in Kulkacharla on Friday. He said that he was shocked to know that he was denied ticket for Parigi Assembly. He said that his candidature was turned down because he was not rich, though he dedicated 40 years of service to the party. 

Announcing his resignation as president of the district wing, he said party could reach to public and activists worked like soldiers. He made it clear that he would not accept even party offers assembly ticket to him. He also said that all presidents at the booth levels will also tender their resignations. “I will vote for the lotus symbol. If party workers insist, I consider contesting as independent candidate after consulting party workers,” he said.
