Leaders of BJP applied online seeking permission to hold a public meeting by UP CM Yogi Adityanath in grounds of government junior college on November 25. They are making all arrangement for the prestigious public meeting. Even TRS party also applied for permission to police and official machinery seeking permission to hold a public meeting by caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the same day at the same venue.
Officers are caught in a Catch 22 situation that they cannot deny permission to either CM, as one is the Chief Minister of state and the other the CM from the party which is in power at the Centre. On the other hand, police officers are looking for alternative arrangements. The District Superintendent of Police T Annapurna, accompanied by the CM security on Saturday, inspected the grounds of government junior college, William Moon High School and People’s College.
