Madhapur: The country’s largest film carnival, Indywood, will give awards to the reporters who covered the carnival in the best way. The categories include reporter (print-electronic), news agency, radio jockey, photographer, cameraman, editing, and programme. The awards include cash prize worth Rs. 1,00,000, a trophy, a certificate and consolation awards.

The carnival will be held between December 1 and 5 at Hitex Convention Centre, here. Journalists are told to submit reports and videos at pr@indywood.co.in. The awards will be announced on the concluding day of the carnival. “Media persons have a prominent role in the growth of entertainment industry, especially film, animation and graphics. There are a lot of possibilities for film journalism in the country. Also, it needs a lot of improvement. Indywood honors media to encourage film journalism in India”, said Indywood founder-director Sohan Roy. The $10 billion (US) project Indywood, aims to bring Indian film industry to global standards within five years. It also aims at initiating 10,000 new 4K projection multiplex screens, one lakh 2K projection home cinemas, 8K/4K film studios, animation/VFX studios and film schools conforming to international standards.

The carnival is expected to be attended by more than one lakh visitors and foreign delegates from more than 100 countries. As part of it, a trade market, Indywood Film Market (IFM) will also be organised featuring participation of over 300 exhibitors, 5,000 marketing delegates, 500 investors from around the world. The carnival will be showcasing 115 international films. The five-day film carnival seeks to capture unique and interesting line-up of diverse programmes and witness 20 events, including IFM, All Lights India International Film Festival, Investors’ Meet, workshops and seminars, conferences and panel discussions, Indywood excellence awards, Indywood talent hunt, Miss & Mr Indywood, networking sessions, Indywood Academy awards, cultural programs, Pravasi Ratna Awards, Golden Frame Awards and much more.
