Around 2,769 balloting units reached Hyderabad from Bharat Electronics Limited, Bengaluru on Thursday as 2,310 machines were running short for the upcoming elections. They were kept at Victory Playground in Chaderghat.
The newly procured balloting units for EVMs will be brought in to work from December 1, said Hyderabad District Election Officer M Dana Kishore. The EC has given 24-hour permission to test the EVMs machine, said an officer.
