Bhavani Nagar: In view of the upcoming assembly elections and to build confidence among voters to take part in the elections, a flag march was conducted by Bhavani Nagar police in the limits of Santosh Nagar division on Friday. It may be recalled that the city police are conducting a daily flag march in old city particularly in the areas having sensitive polling stations. The flag march on Friday was conducted on the instructions of Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS.

Under the supervision of Inspector of Police N Venkateshwarlu, a police force of Bhavani Nagar police station, along with men and women officers of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), took part in the flag march. Around 100 police officials participated in it. During the march, March the CAPF women wing interacted with local women and encouraged them to vote without any fear. The Inspector explained to the people the importance of voting and boosted their confidence about the smooth conduct of elections. The march started at Bhavani Nagar and went through Talabkatta, Aman Nagar, Sultan Shahi areas. In this connection, the police officials also held a special drive on vehicle checking.
