With a view to maintaining public order and peace in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, city Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar issued orders to prohibit assembly of five or more persons in a radius of 200 meters from the polling stations within the city limits on December 7 in connection with general elections to the Telangana Assembly

Hyderabad: With a view to maintaining public order and peace in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, city Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar issued orders to prohibit assembly of five or more persons in a radius of 200 meters from the polling stations within the city limits on December 7 in connection with general elections to the Telangana Assembly. The prohibitory order will remain in force from 6 amto9 pm on December 7. The CP informed the public that the person will be prosecuted if violate the ban orders.

Ban on toddy / liquor shops from Dec 5 to 7

The Commissioner of Police also ordered that the toddy/wine shops, bars attached to restaurants, Military canteen (including bars in star hotels and registered clubs) situated within the limits of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad shall remain closed from 6pmon December 5 to 6 pm on December7 in connection with Telangana State Legislative Assembly Elections to be held in the Twin Cities on December 7 in the interest of Public Peace and tranquility.
