AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu boosts chances of Kuna Srisailam Goud

Quthbullapur: Campaigning by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the People’s Front (PF) candidate Kuna Srisailam Goud in a road show at Shapurnagar on Tuesday, enthused the TDP and Congress activists. They appear confidence that Goud would win after polling on December 7. 

Naidu urged voters to ensure that Goud romps home with a big majority. His road show which began in Nehrunagar passed through many colonies, giving much boost to Goud’s chances. The latter is now more confident of pulling through. Those who participated included former corporator Batta Palakrishna, Gade Vinod, and many women.

Goud himself canvassed in Shapurnagar Rythu Bazaar interacting with traders seeking their backing for the hand symbol. To impress them, he even lifted a sack containing vegetables. In Shapurnagar, CPI leader Ilayya organised a bike rally in support of the PF candidate, who also participated.

Kuna family canvasses  

On the last day of the canvassing, Goud’s family members intensified their efforts to get closer to voters. They included his sister Shobarani, who toured in Mallampet and Bachupalli areas, along with Pratap, Srinivas Goud. In Bachupalli Kuna Dineshkumar Goud too joined the campaigning, while in Chintal it was the turn of Kuna Saicharan Goud. To give a boost to the PF nominee, workers of Gland Pharma, pledged their support while participating in a programme in the Gandimaisamma area. Goud thanked them for providing an opportunity to serve them.

As the campaigning came to a close on Wednesday, Goud got more support from various sections of people. The Private Schools Association chairman Shivayya, president Srinivas Goud, general secretary Praveenreddy Venkat Reddy, besides executive committee members, extended their support. Also supporting Goud was Ujwala Mahila Mandali members of Jairamnagar, Jeedimetla division, who took up canvassing. They extended a warm welcome to him. Among those present were Krishnaveni, Revathi, Sarojini, Sagar Reddy.
