Tandur: Tandur constituency registered about 66 per cent polling on Friday. According to the returning officer, except for the failure of EVMs, polling went peacefully without any untoward incidents. People at Peddamul, Basheerabad, Yalal and Tandur mandals utilised their right to vote at 261 polling stations. The polling began at a slow pace and picked up in the afternoon. Voters in big lines waited for their turn at some stations at evening 5 pm.

Apart from elders, newly registered young voters also utilised their right. People’s Front candidate Rohith Reddy casted his vote at Inderched of Basheerabad mandal, TRS nominee Patnam Mahender Reddy at Tandur and BJP candidate Ravishankar Kota utilised his right to vote at Baghapally.
