Hyderabad: Political analyst and former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s survey that had predicted 65 seats for congress led peoples Front is all set to miss its target by a long margin if the first six rounds of counting to all the 119 Assembly constituencies are any indication.

Leave alone securing 65 seats, the alliance popularly known as Praja Kutami is heading towards being decimated by the TRS in Telangana.

The congress is struggling to retain its 2014 election tally of 21 seats and is leading in just 19 constituencies in Telangana 2018 elections.

The position of other allies of congress led kutami, Telangana Jana Samithi( TJS) and CPI is even worse. Though TJS contested in eight constituencies and CPI from three segments, both the parties are trailing in all these constituencies.

However, the TDP, another main ally in the praja kutami, is expected to win a couple of seats of the total 13 it had contested.

Top guns of congress including K Jana Reddy, Padmavathi Reddy, A Revanth Reddy, D K Aruna, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy, are all trailing in their respective Assembly segments.

In fact, congress former minister Jeevan Reddy has lost in Jagital constituency to TRS candidate Sanjay Kumar.

What’s more, congress candidate Laxma Reddy trailing in Medchal.
