Poll promises will be fulfilled: Kadiyam

Update: 2018-12-16 05:30 IST

Mahabubabad: Former Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that people rejected the Congress in recent elections. Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, he said that people who were impressed with the welfare schemes and programmes taken up by the TRS Government reposed their faith in K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“The judgment of the people is very clear that they wanted TRS again. This is high time that Congress should understand the people’s verdict and play a responsible role in the House,” Srihari said.

He criticised TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy for citing tampering of EVMs for their defeat. “The Congress recorded victory in three States in the Assembly elections simultaneously held with Telangana. If the results in Telangana are tampered with then what about Congress’ victory in other States?” The Congress and other Opposition parties should come forward with suggestions that help Telangana develop, he said.

Srihari said that the TRS would fulfil all its pre-poll promises. He said that a 300-bedded multi-specialty hospital would come up for the healthcare needs of the tribals and foundation stone for it would be laid by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao soon.
