Hyderabad: 42 year old Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao took charge as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi‘ new working president.

A large number of party people, accompanied by senior leaders, took out a rally from Basvakatarakam cancer hospital to Telangana Bhavan Rama Rao, who was taken to the party office on top of a pink coloured car, signed in the party register, assuming his new role, at 11:56 AM

KTR became the first leader to occupy the post, created by party founder KCR, since the formation of the party in 2001. KCR, who got elected for a second term as CM, felt he should hand over the party responsibility to his son, who was handling IT and municipal administration portfolios in the previous government.

KTR took over at the right muhurat in the New chamber that was done up for him in Telangana Bhavan.

He said that his responsibility would be to strengthen the party levels in such a way that the TRS will be a force to reckon with for the the next 100 years.

KTR while addressing a huge rally said that at the party office.

He said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) would be made into a Tirguleni Rajakeeya Shakthi a political force which will have no parallel.

Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao was the first one to greet KTR in his chamber after he signed on a hike taking charge as working president among others who greeted him were Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Former Minister T. Srinivas Yadav, party general secretary Palla Rajeshwara Reddy.
