Madhapur: It was a festival for teens, and they did not get disappointed. As many as 10,000 of them from all walks of life participated in the carnival held at N Convention here on Sunday. To harness their inner potential, the fest was conducted under the age group of 12 to 19-year-olds. Over 10,000 Teens from all walks of life participated in this year’s fest held on the theme ‘Bring out Your Best.’ The innovative fest for youngsters is an idea of two people Chitra Balasubramaniam, an event organiser and Samuel Director, in collaboration with Happi Mobiles and Schola Maria. The TeenFest is all-out high decibel, a carnival-style festival, that is designed to challenge the youth to live for something bigger, encourage to make better choices in life and celebrate their talent and the things they are doing right.

Speaking on the occasion, Chitra Balasubramaniam, one of the organisers, said, “We see TeenFest as a platform that not only helps teens in Hyderabad interact and compete with each other, but also as a platform for the youngsters to understand that they can achieve a lot more than they give themselves credit for, when provided with the right opportunity, awareness and guidance.” Samuel, director of the event, said: “The entire event is designed around teenagers. It is the biggest platform to showcase what they are capable of. It’s their language, their turf.”

The festieval also featured workshops on animal care, art, music, physical and mental fitness by experts in the field. Lots of group and individual competitions and sports challenges were lapped up by the youth. With live bands, dance performances and inspiring conversations, the full-fledged carnival witnessed a high-energy environment. The videos featuring teen showing their talents went viral on social media and generated a huge buzz. The TeenFest promises to be a festival unlike any other.
