Three held for rape of minor

Hyderabad: Kamathipura Police on Sunday arrested three persons on charge of raping a minor girl. According to police, the main accused Rajesh, who is a relative of the victim, along with his friends gave the victim a drink lace with sleeping pills and later sexually assaulted her and filmed the act. The accused and his friends later threatened and blackmailed her saying that they would upload the video on the social media if she revealed the matter to anyone.
Mustering courage, the victim girl along with the help of family members lodged a complaint with the police on December 24. Acting on the complaint police registered a case under POCSO Act and recorded her statement at Bharosa centre and investigated the case. In the report they found that the accused sexually assaulted her for the past 4 years.
On Sunday, the victim’s family members along with around 200 locality people staged protest in front of Kamathipura police station due to which mild tension created in Muralinagar and police station premises.
Police higher officials rushed to the spot and deployed additional force to bring the situation under control. Police arrested the accused Rajesh, Shubham Vyas and Abhijith and remanded them.
Victim’s family members were not satisfied with the police action and demanded arrest of another 8 accused including the fourth accused by name Vijay Kumar whom the police made a witness.
They alleged that Vijay also had the porn videos of the victim in his mobile and he is one of the accused. Higher officials assured the victim’s supporters that strong action would be taken against the accused.
