A labourer killed his wife by pressing her throat in Valmiki nagar under Marredpally police station limits on Tuesday latenight hours. The victim identified as Sathyavathi (27).
According to police, Sunny (30) is working as a labour and living with his wife at Valmiki nagar in Marredpally. Since he was addicted to alcohol, he used to quarrel with his wife demanding money from her to consume liquor. On Tuesday latenight also Sunny harassed his wife demanding money. When she rejected him by not giving money, the accused got angry and pressed her throat till she dies and absconded from the spot. The incident came to light when the accused in a drunken state informed the parents of the deceased about the incident.
Based on the complaint of them , Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for postmortem. By filing a case police took the accused into their custody and are investigating.
