MLA takes officials to task for delay in completing MB works

Karimnagar: MLA-elect Gangula Kamalakar grew increasingly angry over the officials and contractors for delaying the works of Mission Bhagiratha (MB) at a review meeting at Mee-Seva office in Karimnagar on Tuesday. He discussed the progress of works with the officials of Mission Bhagiratha of Karimnagar rural and Kottapalli mandal.

Speaking at the meeting, Kamalakar questioned the officials for keeping the construction works of tanks in pending at Theegalaguttapalli, Chandrapuri Colony, Sitarampur and Kottapalli villages. He ordered them to complete pipeline laying works along with construction of tanks and intra-village works by the end of April for supplying water for about 57 habitations present across the districts.

‘Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao introduced Mission Bhagiratha project for supplying safe drinking water for every household present across the State. But the contractors’ irresponsibility has damaged the roads laid with crores of rupees of investment. 

MLA-elect Kamalakar warned the officials and contractors to mend their ways and complete the works with dedication within the time limit. MPP Ramesh, K Srinivas, Mission Bhagiratha SE Amarendra, EE Chalma Reddy, DE Prabhakar Chary, R&B EE Uppalaiah and DE Ram Kumar were present along with others.
