Serilingampally: Corporator Ragam Nagender Yadav said that the government is trying to revive ancient temples to their former glory. He was speaking at a ground-breaking ceremony for construction of a shed at the ancient Lingamaiah Temple located at Taranagar village on Thursday. The corporator performed ‘bhoomi puja’ for the shed in the premises of the temple. He offered special prayers to the deity on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the corporator promised that he would strive for the development of the temple. He said that there is need to revive the ancient temple. Former councilor Durgam Veeresham Goud, local leaders Gopi, Baddam Kondal Reddy, temple committee president Hari Kishan, vice president Ram Reddy, general secretary Chakrapani, joint secretary Maheshwar, treasurer Narsing, executive members Harikrishna, Ajay Krishna, Kiran and others participated in the program.
