Ramagundam: Sports Council of NTPC-Ramagundam organised prize distribution of inter-departmental sports events at Kakatiya Function hall on Monday. Chief Guest of the occasion, ED-Ramagundam Ravindra appreciated the Sports Council for creating sports culture among the township residents and asked all to make it a part of daily routine life for better health. Later, along with senior officials he presented prizes to the winners of different sports events.
From April 2018 to till now, events like throw ball, football, athletics events (both for employees and physically handicapped), tennikoit, volley ball, swimming, chess, basketball, cricket, carom, kabbadi, mini marathon, ball badminton and many other events were organised.
During the occasion, township kids performed cultural programmes as well. Arvind Kumar Jain, GM (O&M); Mathew Varghese, GM (FM); Vijai Singh, GM (Project); Bishnu Charan Polai, GM (Operation); Umakant Haribhau Gokhe, GM (C&M); office bearers of different associations, union and Sports council were present on the occasion.
