Ashok Nagar: The lack of bus shelters has become a major concern for RTC bus passengers here. They stand on the roads braving the heat, rain and cold. Also, bus passengers stand at different places due to lack of any proper signs indicating bus stops in the area. Ravi Kiran, a resident of Ashok Nagar, said, “Auto drivers also park their vehicles on the road at the bus stops, and the bus passengers quarrel with them and jostle for space.”
“Most of us come here after our work hours in the office. We will not usually get a seat on the bus. If we at least have bus shelter, where we can properly sit and wait for the bus, our travelling will become easy. Proper bus stop should be built wherever necessary to let commuters relax, and thereby reduce their strain levels,” said Yogesh Kumar, a daily RTC bus commuter.
