Corporator complains of drainage overflow

Hastinapuram: Corporator Ramavath Padma Srinu Naik sought funds for underground drainage trunk line in the division by submitting a representation to GHMC commissioner and HMWSSB managing director M Dana Kishore on Tuesday. Padma said that trunk line was laid from BD Reddy Garden to Devakamma Thota requesting the Corporator to extend the line from Devakamma Thota to Bairamalguda tank. 

Due to the over flow of sewage from upfront colonies, residents of Bheema Nagar and Sri Balaji Nagar are suffering with severe health problems she added. It also caused mosquito menace owing to locals spending sleepless nights The problem has been dampening the development of the said colonies, she lamented.
