Vikarabad: The upcoming Lok Sabha elections would be held smoothly, if presiding and sectorial officers have proper training and knowledge on organising the polls, the in-charge Collector Lokesh Kumar said. He supervised the training programme organised for Assistant Returning Officers, Sectorial Officers and Tahasildars, here at Ambedkar Bhavan on Tuesday. “Every officer should know about functioning of VVPATS.

Should be able to resolve issues rising during working. Keeping in view of the experience in the previous elections, do not repeat any shortcomings,” the Collector said. He warned that he will not hesitate to take action if anything goes wrong. He said that these kind of training programmes will help the staff to execute things well. He asked the staff about the forms and tested their awareness.

Joint Collector Aruna Kumari, DRO Mothilal, DRDA Officer Johnson, AROs, district and sectorial officers were present.
