Veteran film producer K Jayakrishna, who has produced many films in the 80s, passed away in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The 67-year-old filmmaker has been ill for the past many months.
Veteran film producer K Jayakrishna, who has produced many films in the 80s, passed away in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The 67-year-old filmmaker has been ill for the past many months. He made films with then top stars and holds credit for paying Chiranjeevi his first remuneration Rs 1,116.
Some of his well-know films, under Jayakrishna Movies banner, include ‘Manthri Gari Viyyankudu’, ‘Vivaha Bhojanambu’, ‘Muddula Manavaralu’, ‘Krishnarjunulu’ and ‘Sravanthi’.
Jayakrishna started his career as makeup man under Krishnam Raju before turning into film production. Sri Surya Movies chief AM Ratnam worked under him. He is last rites will be performed in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
