Even before his release, superstar Rajnikanth is setting new records as the Telugu dubbing rights of his upcoming action adventure ‘Robo 2.0’ were reportedly bought for Rs 81 crore, by leading distributor and exhibitor Sunil Narang. It becomes the costliest dubbed film in the annals of Telugu cinema. “It is one of the most-awaited films in early 2018.

Already the combination of Rajnikanth- Akshay Kumar has given the film much-needed hype and it is bound to rock box-office in AP, TS besides world over. Hence the price is justified since Rajni’s charisma is at it’s peak,” says a source in Chennai. While local distributor adds, “It should be a blockbuster, otherwise, it will be difficult to recover such a whopping investment.

This price is too high since it is bought without Telugu satellite rights, hence only sensational openings and unprecedent collections will save the film. Whether, the buyer has a taken a big chance or not. Only time will tell.”
