Santhosh Srinivas who made the film Hyper with Ram Pothineni tasted a big flop. The director took a break and worked on a script that was supposed to be made with Pawan Kalyan.

The production house Mythri Movie Makers have brought the remake rights of the film Theri and confirmed the project with Pawan Kalyan. Santhosh made changes to the script and completed the development of the same. When everyone thought that this project is going to hit the floors after Agnyathavaasi, the actor took a U-turn and announced that he is quitting films.
The actor is going to return the advance he took from the producers but the director was left in a dilemma position now. He was unsure about his next project. The buzz from the close sources of the production house is that Ravi Teja might be doing this film as his dates are with the producers. But, Ravi Teja is busy with two projects and the director has to wait until he finishes them.
