The people living in Dharavi face problems from a politician who wanted to destroy their slum area and construct a project over there. Kaala (Rajinikanth) leads the protest against the politician and how did he win over the fight against the politician forms the story of the movie.

Superstar’s performance is flawless in the movie. Undoubtedly, he is a crowd puller, and it was proved again with this movie. The major highlight of the film is his performance. His stylish body language, charm, dialogue delivery and everything is so perfect.

The introduction scene has been the best. Huma Qureshi has played a decent role in the film. The scenes between Rajini and Huma have come out well. Nana Patekar is a great performer, and he played his part effortlessly. The fight between Rajini and Nana is shown well in the movie. Eshwari Rao, Manikandan, ‘Vathikuchi’ Dileepan, Anjali Patil, Samuthirakani, and others are excellent in their roles.

Technical Aspects:

The film Kaala is brilliant concerning the technical aspects. The cinematography needs a special mention as the DOP showed the Dhaaravi slum artistically well. The colorful frames and richness in the film's tone are eye-catchy.

The music composed by Santhosh Narayanan is okay. His background score is intense. The artwork is excellent. The editing could have been better. The fights are entertaining. The production values maintained by Dhanush are lavish.

The director PA Ranjith has come up with yet another realistic subject that is about the fight between the oppressed and the land mafia. This exists everywhere, and the director tried to give a shape to it and present it in the cinematic form. The storyline might not excite the audiences, but it is the screenplay that has got some beautiful elements.

The dialogues are sharp. The action sequences have been exceptional in the movie. The film has everything that it lacks in the film Kabali. Rajinikanth's fans are sure to go gala about this new outing, and the efforts of the entire film unit were not wasted. On the whole, the film is not a typical Rajini mark commercial movie but a Rajinikanth's film with PA Ranjith's ideology.
