Speculations are rife that the Centre has decided to speed up the process of bifurcation of the State and would send the Telangana note to the State Legislative Assembly by October 20. It is said that the cabinet note on Telangana would be sent to the President of India within a day or two.
This process would be taken up even before the GoM would be considering various issues and submits its report. This has also sparked rumours in Congress circles that the Chief Minister was preparing the ground to launch his own political party as it now appears that preventing bifurcation of the state was near impossible. Congress MLAs and some ministers from Seemandhra claim that Kiran has now been openly throwing hints at this possibility. Kiran they say might decide to resign soon after the Assembly defeats the T bill.
Kamalapuram MLA G Veerasiva Reddy and Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao also claim that the stage for launch of the new party was set as the centre was virtually bulldozing with its decision to divide the state. However, these leaders are still not clear as to how many Congressmen would sail with them since some were in close touch with either the YSRCP or the TDP and others want to remain in Congress knowing that their political future was at stake. Sources said Kiran was now banking on the support of APNGOs to float the new party to cash in on the Seemandhra movement.
