'YSR's schemes will be reintroduced if Jagan comes to power' VijayammaVizianagaram: In a day's tour of the district on Sunday, YSR Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayamma called upon the party workers to keep the party flag flying high in the local body elections. Earlier, she was given a warm welcome by party leaders and functionaries when she arrived here from Visakhapatnam for one day tour of the district. They accompanied her in a huge bike procession from VT Agraharam to the city. She garlanded the statue of YS Rajasekhar Reddy at New Purna Junction. Cooperative Urban Bank former president Kalla Gauri Shankar was welcomed into the party by YS Vijayamma by decorating him with the party shawl. On this occasion, Ms Vijayamma said that Jagan would soon be released. The Congress government has done gross injustice to the people by doing away with the welfare schemes that were introduced by late chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, she alleged. When Jagan comes to power the schemes will be reintroduced, she assured. She garlanded another statue of YS Rajasekhar Reddy at Goods Shed Junction. Later, she addressed the north Andhra party leaders and workers at the Naidu Function Hall. Inspiring the workers she called upon them to be prepared for the local body polls. Every worker should function like a soldier, she said. It is important to win the local body elections to teach the other parties a lesson, she added. She further alleged that the TDP and the government were hand in glove and that is the reason why Chandrababu Naidu behaves in a bizarre manner whenever no-trust motion is introduced against the government. The Congress has lost the moral right to govern, she observed. Calling upon the party workers to strive to make Jagan win the elections, she said that it was the only answer to the other parties. She left for Visakhapatnam after the meeting. Meanwhile, the important YSR CP leaders and workers of Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam district were absent at the meeting. The differences among the various leaders in the party was the reason for this, some workers were heard saying.
