AU placement drive soon

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof. GSN Raju said that the university would take up placement drive to see that the students get employment after completing their course. Prof. Raju released the 'Placement Brochure' brought out by the Department of Commerce and Management Studies of Colleges of Arts and Commerce, Andhra University, here on Tuesday. Prof. Raju said emphasis would be given to strengthening of the placement cells in the Andhra University. Dr Kambhampati Parvatikumar, international president of the World Teacher Trust, said that commerce and management education has become very significant in the national development. Prof. K Rammohana Rao, Registrar, said efforts should be made to provide quality and standard education and research. Prof. D Prabhakara Rao, principal, Colleges of Arts and Commerce, said that the courses should be designed to make the students employable. At the college-level, the placement cells would be strengthened to provide employment to the students. He said 100 per cent placement would be given top priority. Prof. R Satya Raju, Head of the Department, Prof. Lakshmipathi Raju, chairman, Board of Studies, and others spoke.
